Every champion in the higher weights that Manny fought were severly disadvantaged; but you saw what happened in his last fight.
He even outweighed Marquez but it didn't matter because JMM although smaller clocked him with a perfect shot.
Manny would never have fought much less beaten Barrera, Morales, Cotto, Delahoya, Margarito or even Clottey if they were in there prime and without his advantages. His whole career after being heavier should have an asterisk next to it. JMM would knock him out again and don't even think Mayweather because he would never entertain that fight in the first place!!
It's up to my promoter would be his answer to avoid Floyd.

I agree, worst opposition ever, especially compared to someone like
Floyd 317-27-10
or
Ward 244-16-2
or
Donaire 275-19-14
I guess I don't really see your point after all....now go get bent.

Honestly Mathed, what does that prove?
Hatton's just getting his fighter the correct amount of publicity. It's happening in Argentina not the UK, so he needs to get his fighter attention somehow. Would like to see the undercard feature some more Brits vs Argies.

When you start to delve behind the scenes and look at the resumes of the other P4P guys in the top 5, you really see that those other guys haven't faced the best competition either, in fact they have faced much worse. It's a joke to look at some of the names and records on Ward's resume yet people think he is the second coming of SRR or something.

Macklin, Barker & Murray is a poor run of opponents for the man at middleweight. I can't really think of anyone in the top p4p who's faced worse competition than that and I think that coupled with the fact he exploded onto the scene means people want to see him fight the best at 160.
I wouldn't go as far to say they're bums, just not credible for someone in Martinez's position. Ward's hype is because of how strong the 168lb division is, 160 is quite weak tbh.
He's 37, looks to be slowing down and he's wasting his time against these British fighters. He should be securing his legacy...
