Price was a guy that lasted the distance with the punching power of Cuevas and Palomino, yet SRL took him out in one round.
Leonard also Ko'd Hearns and Benitez as a WW, who the F*** has Mayweather Ko'd as a WW that even comes close to those guys?
As for defense he was the master of using lateral movement and distance, he would have used his superior size and reach to jab Mayweather. Leonard would walk though Mayweather's punches, for god's sake the man went the distance with Duran, Geraldo, Hagler-----------you think SRL would fear Mayweather?
As for Mayweather being too skilled? Do you know that Benitez as for pure slipping ability is much more elusive than Mayweather. Benitez didn't have a great chin, yet he went the distance with Hearns. Watch the final 12 seconds of Benitez-Hearns in round 2, tell me if you think Mayweather would have slipped those 20 rapid fire blows that Hearns spitted out at Benitez? BTW, Hearns was a master boxer who even out boxed Benitez with a broken hand, and you think Mayweather would be too good and sharp for SRL?

Mayweather was too small to beat Leonard or Hearns. Those guys were big WW's, I mean Leonard was big enough to fight Marvin Hagler at 160, can you imagine what Floyd would look like at 160???

Benitez was a great defense fighter but he never had Floyds punching accuracy. And im not nobodies Alt im mutha****in me.
But when it comes down to Floyd "Money" Mayweather fighting who I think is the best all around fighter in the history of this sport, Sugar Ray Leonard, he makes it interesting but still gets beaten. You make it seem as though Ray was one dimensional and was only effective fighting 1 style. Go back and watch how he fought Benetiz and then compare it to how he fought Hearns and Hagler. 3 different styles. You say Mayweather is versitile??? Well, maybe. I've seen Floyd fight a defensive fight and pot shot his opponents, beating them on points. I've watched him walk flatfooted fighters down throwing harder shots. But never have I watched him do either against fighters the caliber of Duran, Hearns,or Benetiz. Its just a completely different era. And to say that he beats Ray Leonard with ease...dude, go get Ray's career dvd set. Floyd would have never came up to WW in that era. Yeah Ray could be hit, but what does that mean if Floyd couldn't hurt him. Floyd would get beat up and humiliated if he tried to walk Ray down. That's almost hilarious. His best chance would be to fight him as he did Oscar. A semi retired and slower Oscar only lost by a split decision. Had he kept using his jab for 12 rounds, Oscar would have won by UD. So what happens with an all around better and more disciplined fighter like Ray? I'll tell you. The same outcome Floyd's dad suffered when he fought Sugar.

I agree with you that Hearns would have been his toughest opponent at WW because of his height and reach and overall boxing ability. But I think that Hearns would completely destroy Floyd. Floyd, as great as he is defensively, has no answer for a good jab. Hearns had a great jab and one of the deadliest right hands ever in boxing history to follow it. I don't think it would even be that competetive. I've watched Floyd walk fighters down in the past, but walking down Hearns would be suicidal. Floyd would have never taken this fight.

As far as Leonard goes everybody looks at Floyd now and tries to compare that against Leonard at his best. I dont do that. So I would easily take Floyd post multiple hand surgeries over Leonard post eye surgery. I respect your opinion but Ill stick to my own.
