I think there's no doubt that the KO of PAC cemented JMM in at number 2, but he's still behind Chavez. Outside of PAC He doesn't really have huge win under his belt.

Now if he fights floyd and beats him than he's number 1 hands down no contest.

Floyd knows not to give Marquez a rematch or he gets put away in the same fashion as PAC did.
