Boxings hall of fame almost has o be dumbed down, because fighters don't fight the best anymore, and only fight a few times a year.

These guys aren't even fighting guys in there weight classes anymore. WTF is that nonsense?

      Gatti and Hill

Hesse guys personified boxing. Hill was a technical boxer with skill off the charts, and Gatti fought everyone and made boxing a better sport for his guts and determination. I think some writers just want controversy so they write things that are wacky, or, maybe they just are not understanding boxing.

I agree 100% Gatti doesn't deserve to be in the HOF. He was not an elite fighter. He was a C class fighter. Sure he was very exciting but that doesn't give you credibility to enter the HOF. I've lost total respect for this Hall of "Fame". How dare they put Gatti in the same league as a Duran, Leanard, Hagler, Hearns.........disgraceful.

There's a lot of others fighters I'd like to see in the IBHOF before Gatti.

Why do people always bring up Stallone when this topic comes up? He's in as a non-participant and screenwriter, much like Budd Schulberg is largely in for writing boxing fiction (even if he was a sportswriter, he's best remembered for his boxing works of fiction).

My thoughts exactly. Gatti was entertaining but he was nowhere on level of greats that make up the core of the HOF.
