There hasn't been much to dislike about Donaire up until this point. Fast hands, one punch KO power, verifiably clean, very active, personable, clearly not complacent in one division as he moves up looking for the big fights. However, now that he's in a division with two viable challengers in Mares and Rigondeaux he needs to step up and take them on. At least fight Rigondeaux who is promoted by Arum, since the Mares fight will be extremely tough to make.

I'm more of a fan of Rigondeaux than I am Donaire but c'mon on bro, let's be real about Rigondeaux for a second. His best win is probably Rico Ramos. He's not exactly a huge star, he's barely on the radar and to be quite honest he hasn't really accomplished anything as a pro fighter yet. His reputation is solely based on his amateur career.
Now with that said I think he's currently ranked #2 or #3 in the division and I'm confident Donaire-Rigo will happen next year. The whole point of having Rigo on the undercard last night was to showcase him to set up the fight. Unfortunately that didn't happen.
I agree i think Donaire deserved to get hes $ on with Arce he had a busy year Mathebula and Nishioka, Rigo has had bad luck career wise but still has accomplished amazing things for just 11 fights so the talent is there! I wouldn't cry duck so far about Donaire V Rigo unless Donaire skips Rigo next year in which case ill be the first one.

lol at the Rigo hype train. I cant wait to Donaire knocks him out cold or has him throwing 3 punches a round in fear for his life. Anyway if you guys wanted the best fight in the division you would be demanding Mares vs Donaire and not Donaire vs Rigo..
