My friend I don't wanna sound like a fan boy..just records...And over that he is the undefeated WBA champion of the world..he floored every single of his opponents..and he is maybe the best amateur boxer of all times with more than 400 wins with nearly 200 kos ..two times Olympic gold medallist..doesn't get better than this my friend..
Sheesh and i thought i liked the guy i'm a bit more realistic when it comes to fighters and bandwagons Rigo deserves the shot, but that's about it what he does with the chance determines what he becomes in the Pro game hes medals and being the best amaeur in history dont mean a thing in the pros keep in mind, I'm more of a Rigo Fan than Donaires but putting my Bias aside i give him 45% chance of beating Donaire because Donaire's offensive game is more Polished than Rigo's is a beast of a counter puncher but Donaire has a better handle on how to put the hurt on people .

Donaire ain't my favorite fighter by a long shot (see avatar). I'm a huge fan of Cuban fighters in general, Gamboa, Rigondeaux, Lara, etc. I was rocking a Rigondeaux avatar when he first defected from Cuba and before he even had his first pro fight. I was rocking animated gifs of Rigondeaux KO's that I personally made after each of his KO victories early in his career (beautiful body shots).
So keep that nonsense about being a fan or a fighter being someones idol out of this discussion.
And this means what? Very little. Quite obviously with Rigondeaux becoming pro at a late age he needed to speed things up in a hurry. Winning a title in his 7th fight was amazing. Again, I love Rigondeaux. He's awesome.
Yes and he and Donaire will fight next year. Why do think Rigo was supposed to be on the undercard last night?

So in one year, Donaire moved up to a new weight class, unified belts, beat the #1 guy and became The Ring champion as well.
Nishioka: 36 years old, came off of 12 rounds with past it/shot Rafael Marquez.
Mathebula: Ranked #7 by The Ring. Despite this, I actually consider him Donaire's best win this year. The rest suck.
Vazquez: Just got stopped by Arce[don't even mention the cheap little tune-up against the journeyman].
Arce: Looked highly vulnerable against that kid Rojas. Retirement was inevitable.
