Guerrero, because he's been fighting live competition in the ring. Canelo, not so much (to say it nicely).

guerrero is a beast, and beat berto's azz, but lets be real. canelo would knock everybody on guerrero's CV out badly.
berto vs alvarez?
berto's health would be put at hazard. all that would be discussed is how much of a mismatch it was.

alvarez, simply because of the size factor. ideal scenario would be for floyd to fight guerrero next while alvarez faces cotto/trout, then, providing they pass their respective tests, floyd vs alvarez megafight in the fall. if floyd beats alvarez without alvarez having proven himself against a prime, same-sized opponent, he would be in danger of being accused of picking on green fighters.
both are good fights that i'd like to see.

Btw you can also make the argument that if Berto lands one of his bombs on Canelo his health would be at risk too. Not convinced by Canelo's chin or durability.

CV is an abbreviation for curriculum vitae, which basically means resume, or list of accomplishments.
well, duh, a jr MW is almost certainly going to be a better opponent than a career LW and FW, who has only moved up in weight recently for the money.
it's a completely valid comparison, given the premise of the discussion. they're being discussed as an opponent for the same man. the weight of their past opponents is 100% relevant.

so a physically strong jr MW (who will finish his career at 160 or 168, and weighs in the 170's on fight night,) isn't going to take shots a former featherweight took?
you just don't like canelo, man.
it is what it is.
