But then again cutting weight when you're already old is never a good thing. I don't want to see a faded Martinez get beat down by mayweather and him taking all the credit for the win.
I say make it a catchweight fight for Sergio's belt. If Floyd takes his crown, that gives him a legitimate claim to greatness.Last edited by DARKSEID; 11-27-2012, 04:47 AM.

These days i tend to agree. Anyway Guerrero is a solid opponent for Floyd if it's not going to be Manny.
Mayweathers options in reality are:
Canelo or Martinez at 154. Guerrero or some other GBP or independent at 147. The reality is that he isn't fighting Bradley or Manny.

I have seen what weight draining has done to people like Cotto in the Pacquiao fight, Chris Byrd in his light-heavyweight fight and in Dawson in his recent fight with Ward, you don't wanna go in drained against a P4P great fighter, you can do that against mediocre opponent not against someone of Mayweather, Ward or Pacquiao level.

Another Mayweather fight that will be decided by Round 9. Only this time the opponent doesn't have the knockout power to keep it interesting.
It was fairly obvious after he beat Berto imo. He meets the Mayweather criteria of being with GBP, being Mexican (for a May 5th or whatever day the Sat falls on), and coming off a hype creating win.
