That said, I think K9 is an excellent investment for GBP because they can have a weak beltholder to make an in-house fight to transfer that belt to a better fighter they already have, plus he can then be cannon fodder for all the aformentioned guys stacked across those three divisions.
I don't think K9 is gonna last much longer, which is probably the reason why he's signing with GBP in the first place. Canelo is not gonna fight in December, Berto is planning to fight Ghost, and Kirkland is still involved in a lawsuit. Rosado and Lara are the only 2 non-TR fighters available for K9, and K9 blatantly avoided Lara. I expect K9/Rosado to be his next fight, where he'll lose his belt (bargaining power) and then become irrelevant.

I think it'll be Bundrage/Kirkland in February/March next year. Schaefer basically is saying they know what's up with Kirkland and hinting at someone putting him up to it, I don't know. But I think that will be resolved by the end of the year. And Bundrage said he's ready for Angulo or Kirkland when he announced signing with Golden Boy.

I can see Golden Boy possibly setting up Alvarez for legit/good fights with Kirkland and Angulo next year, along with Cotto or just in case Cotto doesn't happen.

They can match Kirkland with Bundrage, giving Kirkland a title and another win over a Top 10 SWW. Then they'd make Alvarez-Kirkland for May or September 2013. And they can match Angulo with someone like Dzinziruk or something, giving Angulo a pretty good win since coming back, and match him with Alvarez too.

If I had to predict who Canelo will end up fighting next year, it's this.

      May 2013: Cotto
      September 2013: Kirkland/Bundrage
      December 2013: Angulo

This is assumming Kirkland and Angulo win their next couple fights, which is a fairly big if. But I'd be more than happy with those fights, if it happened the way I am predicting. I've come to the realization that like Donaire-Rigo, Canelo-Lara will NEVER HAPPEN. It's not even worth discussing.

I don't see Lara ever getting a shot at Canelo. They'll most likely match him with Molina again, or someone like Trout (if Trout loses to Cotto).

If IBF and WBC uphold their own rules, then Rosado and the winner of Lara/Vanes should be getting their title shots against K9/Canelo very soon. Kirkland's inactivity is gonna come back to hurt him, and his career will never be the same after this lawsuit. He'll wind up having to fight Molina/Angulo again, and I'm almost 100% sure of that.

        Canelo vs. Lara/Vanes in May
        Canelo vs. Cotto/Trout in September
Canelo vs. Mayweather in May 2014 (Floyd's last year)

K9 should be fighting Rosado next, and if GBP was smart, they would force Canelo to fight him in December/January. Rosado is snatching that title away.

Kirkland vs K9 on whos dime? What sponsers are gonna get behind that? The 2 fighters between them have a complete fanbase of 2. Thats an undercard fight. Angulo can sell out an arena in Mexico. We saw that in the Kirkland fight. Canelos not fighting until May, Cotto and Trout are already on the books for Dec, so that leaves Culo Angulo. Remember K9 at 39ish is looking for his big score. K9 vs Angulo fits if K9 is willing to go south of the border.

Yeah, I'd say people have to wait for the highest paid athlete in sports. Canelo vs Mayweather coming soon hopefully. **** Pac. Let him fight Marquez a 5th time or fight Bradley again. He's out of options. He'd destroy Rios easily and no one would want to see it anyway.

He has no one to fight and he doesn't want to move up. He's screwed.

No one is forcing you to wait for him. There are a lot of other great boxers in the sports to watch.

Thanks for pointing out Floyd's constant ducking of interviews.
