Khan is just a fraud, nothing more needs to be said. I'm overly joyful to see we don't have the pac fans crying, pleading and screaming about how Khan was going to destroy Floyd Mayweather anymore. Some of these fan boys where dying for the fight and claim it was nearly made and that Floyd's days where limited...

IMO Hunter, won't do anything for Khan's glass chin and amateur style of boxing, but good on Ward for being classy. Only fight I would like to see Khan take is vs Hatton who was mentally busted the second Floyd sent him on a date with a ring post.

That or Khan vs Pauli; battle of the pillows!

I really love this match up anyone that discredits Virgil hunter is an idiot he made Andre Ward the fighter he is ward wasn't a ready made fighter this guy made him the fighter he is and that deserves credit because Andre Ward is One hell of a fighter as we've seen.

One thing i hate more than anything is all this talk of khan not having a chin he has a decent chin he just continuously walks into punches or comes out of an exchange with his hands down and when you look at the two k/o's and knockdowns that's exactly the reason why hes been put down it's not rocket science anyone that supports boxing as a sport will understand this .

That's called not having a chin. If you can't recover from a single shot, you don't have a chin.

Imagine if it was Khan that got hit flush - twice - by Shane Mosley the way Floyd did. Amir would still be walking around on Bambi legs two years later.

          You are right

Khan however has no defense, he uses his pita patter flurries as a form of defense

While Khan will always be one punch away from a KO, doesnt necessarily mean he has to let that punch hit him flush

The fact is the kid has zero defense, he doesnt tuck his chin in, he doesnt know how to clinch and tie up opponents, he throws weak flurries and doesnt use his jab....Roach took away Khans jab and replaced it with Clazaghe type slapping

Khan could turn out to be a decent boxer, not elite, but enough to cause problems for most opponents, but he has been taught very little by Roach, the only thing that improved was his strength

I'd don't know if Khan can get rid of all the bad habits since he is older now, but if he can under Hunters guidance, he'll vastly improve.

I think Khan's camp just looked at who won "Trainer of the Year" and went for him. Just like they did with Roach.

Hopefully it works but im sceptical.
You might be right - Khan is all style & no substance. BUT let's give Virgil a chance......

BULL*****! Khan can't take a damn punch, plain & simple & like Tommy Hearns, he doesn't know the word "hold" when he gets in trouble. If he learns that & had some defense, he wouldn't get timed & punched out like a time clock.....

I agree with Ward Hunter is a good match for Khan but first Khan needs to adapt the mentality of a boxer/puncher that might be hard at first because he thinks of himself as a offensive fighter Hunter will turn him into more of a traditional boxer can't wait to see the new and improved Khan

i think hunter can teach Khan is to grapple and hold on for dear life....cause he wont be able to make his chin stronger.......

II think its funny that, normally, Khan is the one who talks down or acts like he's an expert at what he's saying, and here's Ward doing the same exact thing Khan does, except it's aimed at Khan.

Additionally, one reason Khan says he left Roach is because he 'wasn't' Roach's #1. I hope he doesn't go to Hunter thinking that he's automatically Hunter's #1, I'm pretty sure if Hunter had to choose between Ward and Khan, it would be Ward all the say.

Put it this way what would be worse a car crashing into a parked car at 50 mph or two cars crashing into each other at 50 mph.

The shots that have knocked khan out are shots that would damage majority of fighters in his division if not KO them and khan makes this worse as he runs into them with his hands down and chin in the air he backs out from exchanges with his hands down and chin in the air and in a professional sport you are never going to get away with things like that these things can be taught though i am not saying he has an iron chin what i am saying is he has a half decent chin with no defense with properly taught defense khan has a big future if its continuously neglected he will continue to be knocked out even the best chin in the world won't take a full force undefended punch to it without serious repercussions would it ?
