Anyone know the story behind it?

Are you insinuating that a mexican and a brit can't be friends?

They were both part of Golden Boy Promotions.

Both were invited and attended Pac's victims party and they just hit it off right away.

Maybe they were at the same fight and just took a pic together?

Hatton was always a fan of the Mexican style & loved to body punch. He was/is a big fan of Barrera & they became friends. I think Marco carried Rickys belt into the ring against Jose Luis Castillo although I may have my fights mixed up.

Before Ricky there was a Manchester/Irish boxer named Michael Gomez (real name Armstrong) whose fans used to wear sombrero's & he would sometimes come out to Mariachi.

He was a right character & probably did more coke in a weekend than Hatton did in a year.

I'm sure others could shed more light on the whole Manc scene back then.
