Can Sergio still make 154? He just said a day or two ago that he needed a catchweight with Cotto if they were ever to fight. I want Floyd to fight a comfortable Martinez not a weight drained one.

Light is basically saying that Sergio's rehydration would put Floyd at a size disadvantage, and coming down in weight could hurt Sergio in the process, therefore messing up the fight's significance. There's truth to that, but if Sergio can prove that he can make the weight without any serious side effects (unlike Dawson), AND beat the shit outta Canelo, then what would be the problem?

I don't think so. I think Martinez knows floyd is much tougher than Miguel. Sergio called him out not to fight the best but to make his highest payday.

I don't think it will easy for him (to make 154), but I don't doubt that he would make it if the fight was ever signed. Martinez seems like he will put his body through suffering just to get the fights that he feels he deserves, he doesn't give a fuck. If he gotta fight @154 to get Cotto/Mayweather/Canelo, he will do so with little hesitation.

sergio beats the dog **** out of manny, floyd and cotto if each of those guys moves up middleweight. i personally don't think he can make 154 cause if he could, he would have fought at jr middle as some point since becoming middleweight champion just to show he could.
