Yea, these guys are being lazy and making little sense in the process.

If anything, trying to swarm by pushing Floyd back to the ropes is the style that is the hardest for Floyd if we're to go by what has actually happened.

His hardest fights were Castillo then Cotto. They were in no way "boxing" Floyd.

Besides Floyd would never box with Sergio the way they did. They came at Sergio, pressured him, stood int he middle of the ring, and boxed with him. Floyd won;t and can't afford to do that.
They also didn't have any true blue slickness and were far from fine athletic specimens.

I'd take speed, quickness, and slickness over power/size any day if it's not going to be a war of attrition but rather a "battle of the minds" or boxing match.

Floyd does apply pressure against southpaws, and he's always able to box in the middle of the ring. What you basically just said is Floyd would do neither. What the h3ll

What I said was, they were succesful against Martinez because of their power and effective pressure, plus ability to take his punches due to them being big guys. I never said Floyd can't fight him in the center of the ring, I'm saying, Floyd has to take chances in order to get to Martinez, and I don't see Floyd taking those chances, which is why he's not going to take the fight. Martinez has much faster feet at this point. He's not going to be a stationary target like Ortiz or Cotto. Also, he won't get discouraged after a few right hands from Floyd, because of the size, and determination. Your propping Floyd up to be this unbeatable force at 154/160. Usually the great big man beats the great little man. Especially since their styles are similar, in the fact that they can both box and move. The only thing is, the bigger guy can move better, especially at 154/160.

You know those moments, where you know your absolutely right, but don't want to say it, because the guy your debating will just say "your just being a Martinez fan boy".

He said Floyd's ring IQ is as high as his, which I agree with. Ward is up there as well, I think all three, in terms of ring IQ are on a league of their own.
