The only way left for Ward is up in weight and he doesn't want to go.

He won't travel for Froch/Kessler rematches, he won't fight Andre Dirrell, he won't fight Chavez Jr after he loses...there's nothing left for him at 168lbs.

Well, whoever Ward fights, it seems that Goosen and Ward would like to do something big in Vegas. Ward said that if Chavez Jr. beats Martinez, a fight on Cinco De Mayo in Vegas would be huge.

So, I mean I really don't get why people think Ward's "afraid" to leave Oakland, especially given the fact he fought Froch 3,000 miles away from his hometown and with a 3 hour time difference in Atlantic City, NJ. And, we saw that the time difference and not being in his hometown didn't bother him or affect his performance whatsoever. Which is what completely mystifies me about people who say a rematch with Kessler and Froch would really be any different.

Not to mention Ward's even fought in the Cayman Islands before against Ravelo, and while that wasn't on a big stage, it didn't affect him at all. Froch is a great fighter, and is the no. 2 SMW in the world. Ward has proven that to us, and Froch himself knows it and has admittedly accepted that role. So, honestly the ONLY remotely interesting fight at SMW for Ward right now, is against Andre Dirrell, that's really it.

Rematch with Froch. Then move up weight and snatch that belt and heart from Dawson again. Not sure if he wants to move down and face martinez.

was impressed again by ward vs dawson,as has been said ,i dont see any big challenges at 168.hes beaten froch and kessler(fairly comfortably) and yes they would want rematches_i think the same result would occur.theres only chavez really at 160 who could move up and although it might generate money its not a career defining fight for ward in terms of beating the next best guy.hes now beaten the man (dawson) at lhw and yes people are saying he should fight him again at lhw,but ward seems comfortable at 168 so i can see why he dosent feel the need to go up- perhaps he will eventually.theres cloud, pascal possibly cleverly eventually at lhw.not saying he should quit im just looking ,thinking at present that theres no-one at 168 that is a real threat to him.who knows in boxing, perhaps groves or someone else in 2-3 years could improve enough to seriously challenge ward but as of know i have to say he looks a class above everyone else.
