Excellent post and very reasonable as well. Marquez is finished! As soon as he fights someone other then Pac, his ass is grassed. His motivation is only for manny and at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Manny stops him in a 4th fight, although I don;t want to see it. He's going to turn Manny back into "old" Manny. WATCH. There are only two fights that would bring one more great performance out of him, and that's May and Marquez.

If Pacquiao couldn't stop him in his prime, he sure as hell isn't stopping Marquez now.

I think marquez wins by sd, possibly ud. I see it going much like his fights pac, where matthysse rocks him, drops him a few times, but in the mean while, marquez is putting on a boxing clinic. I predict a controversial decision either way.

I think Marquez struggles early but eventually adjusts and becomes able to time Lucas down the stretch.

He hits harder than Soto and Soto buzzed Matthysse.

Soto didn't really hurt him now, I've yet to see Matthysse in any real trouble.

mathysse would stop marquez in a war. he's too strong, and marquez legs are too old to school him for 12 rounds with boxing. he'd have to get into a gunfight, and he'd lose.

soto hit mathysse with the kitchen sink early on in that fight and he did shake him up once or twice. mathysse has a good chin. soto has good offense.

The Matthysse hype is getting worse than the Golovkin hype to be honest. He's a very good fighter, who's one tough guy. But he didn't totally out class/dominate Judah or Alexander, but he arguably won those fights, for sure. And he beat Soto and Olusegun.

Marquez is able to handle pressure fighters, and though I could see Marquez getting knocked down in this fight, he wouldn't get stopped, and Matthysse is there to be hit all night as well.

Marquez by a close and competitive UD.

Matthysse is good but there's still several fighters who I'd pick to beat him around his weight. Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez, and Bradley still beat him.

Have to disagree about Lucas being there to be hit all night. He keeps his hands up and blocks a lot of punches. I've never seen anyone ever hit him at will, and hes fought a lot of quick handed good boxers. I just see his style being a very tough one for Marquez to handle. He has the volume of Katsidas and Diaz, but a much stronger chin and better fundamentals. I've been feeling this way for a while now.
