So Ward beating Dawson at 168 was a lose, lose situation?

If he dominates Chad = Chad was weight drained

If its a highly competitive fight = he struggled with a weight drained chad

If he loses to chad = omg he lost to a weight drained chad

If he destroys chad = so what, chad was weight drained, Broner could have beat chad

And yes, some moron on this site said broner would have beaten chad..
It seems ward is getting no credit whatsoever..gotta love boxing fans..

Eventhough Dawson said he felt great, looked healthy at weigh in and said he made 168 with no problems as he planned..

Even people who picked Dawson to win said he looked great at weigh in..

Yet Dawson loses, now he's a weight drained skeleton zombie lol..

    Gotta love boxing logic..

    Great performance by Ward

    Yes

End of the day, to answer your points

had ward fought chad at a catchweight of about 171-172 and won, then he would have gotten more credit

had ward fought chad at 175, then he would have gotten more credit

quite a few people said Dawson looked like a skeleton before the first bell rang, he had no sharpness

Ward would have won either way as he is an excellent fighter, you need lightening sharpness to beat him and only one man has it at 168, too bad he is trying to make a career in hollywood at the moment (dirrell)

Its a good defense, in fact its the best fight he could make at 168.

Im tired of catchweights. Dawson took a risk and came up short. But for his risk the reward was greater, if he won he would have been lineal champ in two divisions. It would work the same way if ward went to 175.

        Of course it is.

You fight a guy out of his best weight and when you win, fans will always make excuses especially when your opponent looks like a shell of himself.

Dawson had no stamina and no punch resistance against a guy who doesn't have much pop.

Dawson would of done much better at 175. Do i think he would beat Ward though......no i don't.

a huge portion of the people on bscene are here to hate

those who act like the weight was the only difference between the two fighters have not seen dawson fight for long

he never pulls the trigger when he needs to, whether he struggled as 168 or not. he couldnt keep ward far away enough to keep him from landing the left hook, which was the difference in the fight.

Lol if ward fought Dawson at a catch weight he'd still get no credit. Haven't you read this board before? They HATE catchweights. They would still say he was dry.. I thought Dawson won the first 2 rounds actually..
Dirrell the actor doesn't have a snowball chance in hell vs Ward, and that's why he ducked Ward..

Maybe he'll fight Dawson down the road at 175, and when ward dominates again people will say Dawson was never the same after he weight drained himself at 168..

Styles make fights, wards is too smart and skilled to beat Dawson at any weight..

If ward moves up and beats pascal and cloud, he won't get any credit either. People would say, froch And bhop dominated pascal and cloud is overrated and 1 dimensional. Lol boxing fans can be jokes sometimes. What does a man have to do these days to get credit?

There's an entire thread full of people that are declaring Andre Ward the best fighter in the sport after last night, or at least in the conversation. Don't let the few people who will hate no matter what Ward does make you this angry.

There was a couple points in the fight where Dawson was in an advantageous position, and he refused to let his hands go. All I could think was, "that's the Dawson I expected". The weight didn't change his calm/almost lazy in-ring demeanor, it probably just exacerbated his negative traits.

Make up whatever excuses you want for Chad losing the fight. He agreed to fight at that weight, he said it wasnt an issue..and he got beat.
Ward said moving to light heavy is an option for him in the future considering hes cleaned out the super middle division, im sure if dawson goes back up and wins some decent fights then a rematch will be on the table.

Fellas, not taking away anything from Ward as Dawson said he can make the weight easily and did but, there is a HUGE difference between making 168 and fighting at a 168 plus whatever he gained on fight night.

I've placed Ward as #1 on my P4P list.
