I use to think JCC was all hype, but seeing his leaps in improvement, I'm convinced that he's a top tier MW. That being said, I still expect Martinez to give him a boxing lesson and take the decision, if not stop him late. But if JCC does beat him, then I guess there's not much you can knock the guy for.

even with his PEDs a comical size advantage and unverified 10 oz gloves that probably weigh less. even so he still can't punch. sturm is a bigger hitter than chavez how sad is that.

Well Sergio had the WBC belt but was stripped by WBC for BS. When I say "Real" Wbc champ meaning Sergio never lost the belt in a fight.....only lost it because WBC is dirty! only wants Mexicans to hold it even if they didn't earn it by beating the True Champ Sergio -one of the top P4p fighters.

Chavez Jr is whack as hell...no head movement ,no good angles, bad footwork. Only comes forward and weights 195 lbs. ...that's it. Sergio will break Chavez Jr down and win the fight!!! Look at water head competition the past 2 yrs only B class fighters at best. You have 8 days until all the weak @as Chavez Jr fans can shut the F#ck up.

You guys continue to talk about Martinez like he is the best fighter out there. The style that beats Martinez is a pressure style. We have seen what pressure did in the margarito fight. Macklin if he had better stamina and more power would have done the same. If Julio can effectively cut off the ring and force Martinez to fight , Martinez will wear from the power punches. Martinez's game is hit and move. Take him out of his rhythm , force the pace and he will wear. Chavez will win this fight.

The Margarito loss is meaningless for two reasons: 1) it was a long ass time ago and Martinez is a different animal than he was in their first outing. 2) Margarito loaded his ****ing gloves, and as soon as he was caught, his power was GONE, and his relentless style diminished to nothing. The dude was a FRAUD who beats boxers with bricks in his gloves.

Chavez has to accept the fact that he is where he is because of riding his father's coat-tails. It is not perception. It is the truth. The guy has an undefeated record of over 40 wins, yet on that resume, only sits 5 names he can regurgitate to get some credibility: Duddy, Rubio, Zbik, Manfredo, and Lee.

Even those five names are a weak argument for proof of being elite. Manfredo???
Zbik arguably fought him to a draw. The same Zbik Felix Sturm took out early. Andy Lee? A suspect chin who been stopped by Brian Vera.

I have nothing against Chavez, but people are buying a Hypejob at this point. I see nothing to suggest that Sergio will not dominate him to a wide UD or TKO stoppage. If he proves me wrong, so be it. But my money is on Maravilla.

The only way Chavez stands a chance is to come in at his walk around weight on fight night and end the fight within 5 rounds..second halves of fights have always belonged to Sergio..and while i've never been a big fan of sergio..speed kills..this fight will go via stoppage either by accumulated damage from chavez in the early rounds or by martinez wearing chavez down..I see Martinez doing lifelong damage to chavez in this fight..I think chavez immaturity will have him putting his chin out there trying to prove the critics wrong about him being able to take a real power shot and I think he can be paul william'd if he does it..I hope he's not ****** enough to think he can get away with his typical ring antics against a guy whose fast punch carries that much brutal force. I hope martinez's handlers were wise enough to include a max fight night weight for both.

I think JCC will win by KO or by just out working martinez. Call Me CRAZY! but no way in hell chavez goes down. only way he gets stopped is if the ref stops it. Anyway, what wuld people say if chavez wins? will it be his weight? martinez is old? i mean everyone here knows all this including martinez. i just want reactions. if JCC loses i hope he gives credit where credit is do. I see chavez boxing in this fight like he did vs manfredo. jab jab straight counter. bob and weave. He couldnt do that vs a bigger guy in lee so he took it to him on the inside. Marintez is smart enough to avoid an inside fight thats why i see chavez boxing in this one.

IFS...ANDS..OR BUTS..always the same with you guys...all you hafta do is WATCH Martinez and the way he fights BIGGER guys....such has been his past fights Pavlik got bloodied....Williams got KTFO in 2...Sergio likes to fight bigger guys which makes his style and defense so great..I feel sorry for JCC because he is gonna be washin Pop's Depends after he gets knocked out.....poor little boy...imagine JCC and Sergio in close....you CAN'T....Sergio won't allow it..JCC will be gassed by 4 from Martinez hand-speed alone..Martinez tko in round 7.....take it to the bank
