IF Jr makes weight, and IF Jr passes the pee test, and IF there's no bullspit early stoppage, and IF there's no Arum/Suliaman induced unbelievebly bad decision, then Martinez wins by UD or late stoppage.
I'll enjoy quoting this on Sept 15th.

I'll put you on the spot Perro, what exactly do you think makes Jr superior other than he's Mexican?

For the pure fact that he's much tougher than Sergio is. This will be Margarito-Cotto all over again.

Martinez will start off strong tagging Jr with some jabs and I'm sure Jr will have trouble getting to him in the beginning because Martinez moves a lot. In the middle rounds Jr will start tagging him more often, hitting him with vicious body shots. Jr will be taking some of Sergio's hardest shots and will keep coming forward. He's a tank. Chavez JR by TKO stoppage late rounds.

you're right, the fight will be like Cotto/Marg II, with Jr beaten to a pulp, a mile behind on the cards when the ref stops the fight

What makes you think Jr is tough? He's never faced the kind of opposition that would bring that out. You don't need to be tough to beat Manfredo, Lee, Rubio or Zbik, let alone that collection of other stiffs he fought. If Zbik gave him fits (I scored that one a draw) Martinez will handle him.

I just watched the 24/7 episode!

Martinez said he IS WILLING to go toe-to-toe!!!!!! :O

I hope he does, it will be an amazing fight.

Personally, I think he should stick n move. I have him winning by UD.

(Chavez Jr. by KO/TKO if they fight toe-to-toe)

If Chavez Jr walks into a huge left hand and gets KO'd, I see that really ****ing up his career. Of course, it will seriously damage his career if he even just gets stopped or beaten by a wide UD. I don't really see him stopping Martinez, but that's just me.

This seems like a bad matchup for Chavez. Martinez is hard to find the body against (always bent at the hip), he's constantly moving, and yet he's also not someone you can exactly "chase" because he'll make you pay. You very rarely see Sergio on the ropes or looking like he's in trouble. I think he'll **** this kid up.
