As much as I dislike the current crop of heavyweights, I guess there must be a heavyweight champion. And as long as there is a heavyweight champion, there might as well be the 2 best fighters at heavyweight fighting I guess. Those 2 happen to be Vitali and Rahman. I would much rather see that than Byrd-Golata II.

Unfortuantely, most of the top ten contender's are in Don King's stable.

On a side note does anyone on here know why Bob Arum does not promote any heavyweights? He seems to stick with the lower class fighters.

It's a west coast thing, Arum controls anything and everything south of 200 pounds and King dominates the heavies.


Same way Don only deals with heavyweights really, I guess you can bring up fighters names like Spinks/Trinidad and Mayorga and so forth though.

i keep hearing about one right hand from rahman KOing VK.... rahman is not a one punch KO artist(only once has he KO'd a decent fighter with one punch)... rahman does not hit as hard as lewis and VK took lewis's shots without going down.... if rahman wins, it will not be a 1-punch KO like he did to lewis...

DK is just trying to use the same tactics as the HW boxers do like Byrd and Toney, trying to talk trash so that he can get VK's attention, maybe get under his skin so to set up a match between Rahman and VK. Once it's set, then he can work on swindling that title from the real HW champ, however possible.
