Comments Thread For: Saul Alvarez May Possibly Close Out 2012 on 12/8

Sources close to the camp of WBC 154-pound champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (40-0-1 2KOs) have advised krikya360.com that Canelo's next fight may take place on December 8th. Canelo is schedued to face Josesito Lopez (30-4, 18KOs) on September 15th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. If Canelo, a heavy favorite to win, gets past Lopez, he would like to face either Miguel Cotto or WBA champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Cotto has a return date booked for December 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Kirkland's shoulder should be healed and he should've gotten a tune up out the way.

No excuse for that fight not to happen.

Don't be silly. They're in the same division, not Canelo's type. Kirkland will be fighting the winner of Lara-Vanes.

It's gonna be Floyd or Cotto. Why?? Cause ginger would have had 6 title fights under his belt. His fans & the Floyd or Cotto fans will love it except for me & I'm a Cotto fan.

But Cotto wants to fight in MSG. Golden Boy won't let Canelo fight there unless Cotto bends over for the money like everyone else does and goes to Vegas.

Good...I think he's only two fights away from being ready to hang with Cotto even with having the original plan break down. Definitely a mismatch with this Lopez fight, a placeholder fight that he should win... the next fight has to be a dark horse contender or another champion at the weight.....then a big fight if he gets thru that

Of course, it wouldn't suprise me one bit. Well, actually it would because just when I think schit can't get more corrupt, Team Canelo and the WBC surprise me even more.

You know, Team Canelo are just setting that kid up for failure and trying to cash out on a ****** pay day instead of legitly build the kid up and make him work like all the other great champions have done in the history of the sport. Get it the old fashion hard way through starting from the ground up and fighting your way to the top.

It's like studying in college. Cheating on all the quizzes and mid-terms (Lopez, Gomez, Hatton, ect) won't help you pass the Final Exam (Mayweather). Then even if you cheat on the Final Exam, it still won't help you because when you finally get a job, at the end of the day, you have to know what you're doing at work.

GBP is just setting this kid up for failure when it's all said and done. He needs to start getting rounds in with legit opponents. That's the only way to get it. No other way around it. You can only cheat on tests for so long before the teacher catches you. Canelo's going to get sent to the principal's office in due time lol
