Comments Thread For: Tim Bradley on Vacation, Still Over a Month from Recovery

Newly crowned welterweight titleholder Timothy Bradley is still recovering from an injured left foot following his upset victory last month over Manny Pacquiao, according to his trainer Joel Diaz.

“The left foot is OK, but he’s still wearing a boot on it,” Diaz told krikya360.com. “He tore a ligament near the upper part of the foot, so he’s still having a little bit of problems putting pressure on it.”

Stepping, tripping, either way the ref caused more damage on him than Pac did.

"Timmy was told to keep it elevated, put ice on it and heat on it and stay off it," Dunkin said. "He thinks he [twisted it by stepping] on the referee's foot."

I recall Tim twisting his own ankle after spinning off the ropes. I've sprained my ankle many times playing hoops and have torn all the ligaments in my left ankle on one occasion. I'm no doctor, I'm not a super athlete like Bradley and have no effing clue of Tim's situation but I couldn't take 3 steps on torn ligaments. Either Tim is a ****ing beast with unbelievable pain tolerance or his team spun a minor ankle sprain to the extreme. Hard to imagine him fighting 8+ rounds on an ankle with torn ligaments.

Tim also said in the ring interview that "he thinks he stepped on his ankle", but, at the 40 sec mark of round 4 there's a clear view of him twisting it while spinning off the ropes from a minor Pac flurry.

They clearly show Tim stepping on the refs foot if you go back and watch it. It was funny because everyone cheered when it happened as if Pac hurt Bradley.

However he did hurt both his feet so he could have quit possibly hurt one of them by twisting it when on the ropes.

Overall the entire point people try and make with this fight is that Pac threw more punches just like JMM did back in November. One thing people miss more than anything is that Bradley avoided MANY shots. Which is exactly why if you look at Tim's face, he wasn't busted up. Wasn't hurt (by Pac), wasn't anything other than knowing deep down he didn't think he would have got the "W". Who really did? If JMM didn't, when he SHOULD have won, Bradley didn't think he should have.

At the end of the day what was the famous line the pac-tards back in November used? Go back and watch in super duper extra long lasting slo mo? You will see Tim avoiding a lot of Pac's wild punching.

Bottom line, Bradley should have lost and if anyone agrees with that than they understand why a 39 year old JMM beat (or at worse, tied) Pac last November. I'm sure they also understand Mayweather CLOWNS Pac into retirement. Bob knows this which is why it will be Pac's VERY last fight.

Let Timmy rest, it isn't easy exposing people and giving out boxing lessons with one good foot.

that was a bad sprain.i bet when the fight ended, bradley rushed for the pain pills.like diaz said. the trainer and fighter are and were doing their job.pacquiao seriously needs a new trainer. in the heat of the battle if your trainer can't make any adjustments then you have the wrong trainer. plus pac is one dimensional.
