When khan looked bad against Peterson, Floyd didnt want him, as it is only a excuse Floyd uses to avoid khan.
As Floyd knows khan would give him a good fight regardless of whether he looks great or not.

According to Pac Boy..."Thats the only way to get A fight with Floyd. To look bad, washed up , Old and not good. He likes to fight fighters that should have won but didnt....".
Let me clarify and speak the truth for you Pac worshippers:
Floyds last 5 opponents:
1. Cotto (coming off of 3 straight stoppage wins and Floyd moved up in weight and beat him)
2. Ortiz (coming off of beating an undefeated Berto, best win to date)
3. Mosley (coming off of destroying Margarito, best performance in years)
4. Marquez (coming off of 2 straight KO wins over opponents)
5. Hatton (undefeated at 43-0)
Pac's last 5 opponents:
1. Bradley (Pac lost to someone coming up from a lower weight class)
2. Marquez (coming off of a win, but was robbed against Pac)
3. Mosley (coming off of a loss and a draw)
4. Margarito (coming off of a brutal KO loss 1 fight before and was weight drained and shot)
5. Clottey (coming off of a loss)
So the last 5 of Floyd's opponents were either undefeated or coming off one of the best performances of their careers. Of Pac's last 5 opponents, only 1 was even coming off of a win, and he beat Pac in all reality (not that BS decision). There is no comparison so just keep your mouths closed and live in your Pacmania dream worlds ok?

Having said that it would've made for a less exciting fight, but if Khan can be nearly knocked out by Maidana, it's difficult to have people believe that he can beat Mayweather or any other truly elite fighter.
I know Peterson was done for cheating but that fight still showed Khan's weaknesses. Interestingly enough, Khan's struggles are with fighters that have attributes that FMJ doesn't have(coming forward, pressuring, etc.) but the way he dealt with it(particularly in the Peterson fight) was really disappointing. If you'd asked me before the Peterson fight I would've said Khan wasn't ready for Mayweather but I would've thought he was closer to it than he is now. But not taking anything from that fight would be like saying after Cotto-Margarito I that Cotto isn't weaker against pressure fighters, he was just hit with plaster. Even though the opponent had an unfair advantage, you still learn something about the fighter in question.I agree with mostly everything in this post but I dont agree Khan struggled vs maidana other than that 10th round. I dont think khan could beat mayweather anyways but it doesnt take away from the fact that he needs to look good vs garcia
