Once again it was proven that anyone can land a lucky punch and defeat the favored fighter in spite of all the known disadvantages! Lopez one the fight but was being beat on every judges card losing every round to the stronger more devastating puncher Ortiz! This does not make him the heir apparent to anything! Lopez is a very game fighter with a ton of work to do and growth through experience but his chances of duplicating the same feat against Canelo are slim and none, slim is in wittness protection! Canelo on the other hand who I am a Fan of is also very young in the Pro ranks. He had an extensive amatuer career in Mexico and faced a ton of game fighters there. His defeat over Mosely was accurately scored but not so impressive. Calling out Floyd is a Big mistake for him or his handlers as he does not possess the same skill as Floyd and it would be a major setback that he does not have to experience. There are about 5-6 other exciting matches that he could make in class, below or step up Cotto, Martinez, Alexander and Garcia just to name a few! Who is really left for Floyd with Kahn going down and was not ready for him either in my book? Who wants to see Ortiz Mayweather again and then there are the druggies Peterson and Berto? Martinez is a long shot because of the weight differece and after he cleans the floor with Chavez you can through him (Chavez) out with the garbage too! Canelo is one of the names that will be around for a long time to come in boxing and a prominent one but he is being brought along at the right pace and I disagree with the protected comment, he just needs more fights with fighters on his level!

Alvarez is one of the biggest cherry pickers I have ever seen.
2 months ago, Lopez was a jr welterweight I had never heard about, before he made victoria quit, and now he's fighting at jr middleweight?
When the hell was the last time canelo had a legit fight lol. Not only that but he's holding a paper belt.
