Do you think Floyd can sell 750,00 ppv buys vs Clottey or 950,000 vs Bradley?

if floyd was to fight them with no big name on his undercard and not on a mexican holiday, i dont think he'd be able to do pac's numbers. he might get close, but he wouldnt surpass them.
Floyd's ppv numbers rely very much on the strength of the undercard which is stacked with big names, as well as fighting on mexican holildays to try and take full advantage of the mexican market.
That said, he has sold 1.5 million ppvs fewer than pacquiao, even with a 17 month head start.

i dunno why ppl think mexican-americans make up a majority of ppv purchasers. the def make up a small contingent that u always want to have, but this idea that they make or break ppv numbers is simply absurd. the reason floyd and manny sell a lot is because they are recognizable to the casual fan. its quite simple. the average person on the street knows who floyd mayweather is, just like they knew who oscar de la hoya is and who mike tyson was before him. they do not know who canelo alvarez is. no matter how hard u wanna believe it, most americans dont recognize the kid and they would not purchase a fight just to see him fight. i shouldnt even have to tell u think if ur american, but most of the ppl who believe this drivel probably arent. smh.
and mexicans-americans recognize manny pacquiao. they know him, they buy his ppvs. canelo would not help him increase his numbers to some extreme point. thats nonsense. the bottom line is u cannot sell a million ppvs if u do not have the support or name recognition among the casual boxing fan. canelo may add a few thousand mexican-american fans sure, but definitely nowhere near a majority. id be surprised if it was above 5%
