He should never have fought again after Pac messed up his eye. I'd like to say some kind words, but it's hard to look at him in a positive way when he tried to cheat in such a terrible way against Mosley.

Nothing positive to say about the man.

He made a lot of money so he'll live comfortably, but he will be remembered as a classless, cheating scumbag.

How LAME. While he was on his 25th fight 6years in his career he beat a guy 3 years into his career while an upstart and you want us to give him credit for that. Anyways.. He's a mummy, TOP RANK fraud. I always thought of him as that and "plastergate" sealed it.

        "He came to fight"
"He was always ready for war"

Ah shut up. IF you limited skills all you CAN do is move forward and slug. Moving on.

Don't get me wrong, homie, there is a lot of good Rican posters, but the majority are nothing but nut hugging boxer fans... Not boxing fans. Sad.

In honor of Margarito... I'm gonna get a tattoo of him. I have too!!!!
I can imagine the Tatoo art. I assume it will be in your but cheek

Why don't you find me direct quotes from people who saw Marg's hands wrapped for previous fights, who say there was something untoward and that it was not a fair fight, I'd like to hear them. I'm not being argumentative by the way, I'm genuinely interested. See how that works?
              Yeah that's a fair point

Ok so neither of us are likely to trawl the internet for such quotes, and you're right, managers would be unlikely to keep it to themselves if something was wrong. The bottom line is I don't know what's gone on in Marg's dressing rooms throughout his career, and neither do you. More to the point, I'm satisfied with what was proven to have taken place the night of the Mosley fight. And that's all I really need to take a moral stance against Margarito.

He's a disgraced fighter that could have caused serious injury or death to his opponent. There should have been criminal proceedings against him and his trainer, with a lifetime ban and possible jail time for both of them.

                Yep, could not agree more.

He's a proven cheater and yet he never apologized or shown any remorse or responsibility for his actions. He should have got a lifelong ban. Unfortunately that eclipses anything good he did in his career.

To punish him like that they would need to prove that he was aware of what the trainer was trying to do, but even the commission accepted that he didn't know what was up. Unfortunately everyone here is quick to condemn him without knowing all the facts.

I'm sure you understand why people are su****ious. As I said, Margarito's reaction towards what his trainer did was muted to say the least. Anybody in their right mind would be screaming bloody murder.

As an aside, Cotto said after their first fight he's never been hit so hard, and Margarito isn't known as a power puncher. How somebody does that kind of damage with what are essentially arm punches is beyond me.
