Tony should be an idol for everyone. When you are alone and are ready to give up, you need to have someone to look up to with heart, Tony is the perfect guy for this.
Tony truly is one of the greatests.
I knew this day would come, I doubt we'll ever see another Margarito. Fighters like him don't come everyday, he was truly something special.

Damm!! Still not sure how to feel about the guy, my pops and I were fans of his coming up.
I first saw him fight when I was 16 at some small auditorium in culver city, a nobody to me at that point......he lost that fight pretty handily, and its crazy because the guy he fought, Rodney Jones, was a 6'1" southpaw. VERY similar to P Will just more of a boxer. Almost 10 years the Williams fight get made and I remember that night I saw him fight Jones and lose...so I proceeded to bet every Marg fan I knew and a couple of other fans sitting around me and I cashed out. lol. I've been looking for tape of that Rodney Jones fight forever but could never find it...that his last loss before he went on his 10 year streak basically. he really worked his way up and was on the brink of stardom if he had beat Mosley that night. (and not cheated of course) biggest crowd in Staples Center history....95% Marg fans
i definitely feel grateful that boxing had Margarito when he was perceived to be a clean fighter, he really became a toxic figure after that and its DESERVED. he really sold his body out trying to earn back the respect of fans. nobody will ever agree on himLast edited by LA_2_Vegas; 06-07-2012, 10:22 PM.
