Outside of multiple knockdowns, Kirkland really can only win by KO. I'm sure that's in the plan anyway, but we have seen fighters with shoulder issues lose power after surgery so that puts even more uncertainty on his chances to get the stoppage. He's not necessarily a one punch ko fighter anyway, so he might be fine with the volume he throws. He has still yet to be 12rds, so the chances of a decision is somewhat low on paper
I'm going with Canelo, but throw two prime fighters in a championship fight and it's usually a good recipe for competitiveness and fireworks
Alvarez by late KO. Kirklands only chances are early on and closing the distance and roughing this kid up. Canelo has too much boxing skill for Kirkland tho
Even if Kirkland was 100% healthy I would expect Canelo to beat him like a drum.
I thought the whole reason they didn't make this fight in the first place was due to Kirkland's health, it hasn't been that long for there to be much change and who knows what Kirkland will look like after his shoulder issue.
There is just no reason to really like Kirkland in this fight, I would expect Canelo to be at least +750.
I agree for the most part. I don't think that Canelo will open at -750, though. That seems a little high. I do think that he will beat Kirkland with relative ease, though.
I'll be looking to play Canelo inside the distance, and Canelo in rounds 1-6.

Yea Canelo under depending on what the under is, is how I would play it unless the under was like 6.5 then I would have to really think about it.
Yea it probably won't open at +750 that was more what I figured it would settle down at, I think it would shoot up like a rocket though so if one was to bet on Canelo early would likely be the best time.
