Carl Froch couldn’t compliment Lucian Bute too much.

After crediting Bute for traveling to England to fight in his hometown Saturday night, Froch offered a reminder about Bute’s resume.

“You know, Lucian Bute, on paper is overrated,” Froch said while promoting their IBF super middleweight championship fight in Nottingham, England. “He’s an unbeaten fighter and he’s answered every question that’s been asked of him so far. Although you do have to remember that he got absolutely knocked out by Librado Andrade and saved by the bell, saved by the referee [Marlon Wright] or whoever saved him in the last round, because he was done, finished. Let’s be honest, he lost that fight by knockout.”

And he's right. Bute was ko'd to me. I mean he did stand up at 9 seconds if you feel the need to defend him. Sitting on the ropes, staring off into space, a stopped fighter.

Marlon Wright though, did go above & beyond anything necessary to absolutely ensure that Bute won. Hell, he even said Andrade lost the fight because he came out of the corner, which he did not. Yeah Bute ended Andrade in the rematch. But lets be real here, no fighter that took their lumps for 11 & 3/4 rounds should be robbed so blindly after scoring a ko win.

War Froch, you're bigger, stronger & better than Andrade. You have the stamina, heart & desire of a champion. Show these idiots that Bute's resume doesn't deserve the credit he gets.

That was 4 yrs ago and he knocked out Andrade in a rematch , I think Froch will be in trouble if he thinks that Bute is what he is facing .

I like both of these dudes, but the bold is true. I'm a fan of Bute based off his skills & not resume. Froch has skills & a very good resume. He's also tougher & more durable than Andrade. I'm starting to lean toward my boy Froch on this one.

wow i still laugh every time i see that paid in full count. how much can you say get back in your corner then start the count off at 6 everytime. LOL. but still bute ko'd him in the rematch. froch wants to get inside butes head and bute wants to be friends with froch it seems LOL. should be a very good match though.
