Comments Thread For: Schaefer on Mayweather's Options, a Pacquiao Deal, Arum

Richard Schaefer, CEO for Golden Boy Promotions, sat down with krikya360.com to discuss a variety of topics related to WBA junior middleweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Mayweather (43-0, 26KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over Miguel Cotto. The encounter was easily the most exciting Mayweather fight in years. [Click Here To Read More]

ducquiao was offered a guaranteed $40 million. something he can never make under toprank. arum was quoted of saying that toprank and pac has made each other alot of money.(THIEF ARUM)now pac can make a(POSSIBLE)$17 million fighting bradley.and the (THIEF)arum will pick that check apart. here we have a dummy and a thief.

        LOL.

His proposal makes a lot of sense. Maybe too much sense considering Arum most likely would never open his books.

There we go folks, all that is preventing the fight is the monetary split. Drug testing is no longer an issue according to Schaefer. Since this is the case, they should make it a true prize fight if they can't agree on a 50-50 split, 45-45 with the other 10 going to the winner makes a lot of sense.

They have to count the oscar vs mayweather fight in which oscar was the true cash cow and made those numbers, without them it is pretty much equal

what people forget is floyd has 2-3 years on pac, he became a star before him but more importantly is that he got the oscar fight when oscar was at his hottest in terms of ppv

take away the oscar ffight and 50-50 is fair

nothing has changed from 2 years ago when 50-50 was good enough, just more obstacles made by floyd to not make the fight happen

as pac has said, 45-45 and the 10 percent goes to the winner

Exactly, Arum will pick that apart a possible 17 mill -40% for taxes= about 9million-27% for Arum=around 6.5 million -10% konz= about 6 mill-1mill for roach=5mill-1mil for Ariza=4 mill Pacquiao is going to take home 4- 5 million i mean forreal why does this dude turn down 40 million to keep making 4 and 5million and letting Arum rip him off. Arum and Pac don't want the fight now schaeffer has come up with the most fair solution let the accounting firm determine who gets more when they compare the numbers what excuse do they have there is no valid excuse for them i don't want to hear no excuse from Arum at all.

The most fair solution is 45-45 with the winner getting 10. As they say, to the winner goes the spoils. Besides, Mayweather is a ******** man, Why won't he take the 45-45 10 deal? Why won't he bet on himself?
