Floyd is responsible for his own guarantee. He's in the position to write his own check, so in his fights the guarantee money don't mean much in the end. He can write himself a $30-$40-$50 million dollar check and rip it apart because the money doesn't go anywhere.

He'll make his money either way unless the PPV bombs. It looks like they'll be giving away free tickets to the show, but PPV's a different story.

Contracts can be written with subordination clauses. kind of how you have senior or subordinated debt in finance/real estate.

If you have 100 dollars, but you have 200 dollars in debts, who gets paid first?

Hmm, I see. So it's not quite as cut-and-dry as Floyd provides his own guarantee? So how exactly does Golden Boy figure into it? At what point does GBP money come into play?

PPV and Cable companies take a "minimum of 50% of the PPV money". Reliably reported many times.

The only thing this PPV will blow is anything Pac has ever done lol

No crap. This is going to do huge numbers and anyone who thinks it is going to do poorly is crazy.

If that is the case then they need to do really well on PPV.

1.4 Mil PPV just to manage the gurantees. 60 x 1.4 mil = $84 Mil.

The gate will hit 15 Mil or so I think.

GBP expects it to be the second highest PPV ever, Shaeffer said that.

The distributors definitely do take at least 50% (and probably a bit more). But there are other revenue sources as well, besides the PPV. Look at the NY Times article by Bishop if you haven't already, it's a great read.
