Comments Thread For: Schaefer on Mayweather-Pacquiao, Mosley, Broner, More

It was a crowded scene on Tuesday inside of the main lobby of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas as the grand arrivals of Floyd Mayweather Jr., Miguel Cotto, Saul Alvarez and Shane Mosley were held.

This Saturday night, May 5th, Cotto defends his WBA junior middleweight crown against Mayweather in the biggest show of the year thus far. In the pay-per-view chief support bout, Alvarez will look to hold off Mosley as the Mexican star puts his WBC junior middleweight bauble on the line.

until he gets KO'd and destroyed mentally. the only way i see him becoming this big star is if he can keep that undefeated record. everyone loves an '0' and i think bradley will be the new star personally

wtf? pac/mayweather wont happen til arum wants it made?
        are u fkm???

floyd, not arum, said zero ppv percentage to pac.
pac offered 40-40, winner gets the extra 20 percent
so how is this about arum not wanting to make the fight?

and how is picking a fight date and venue without even having an opponant?
and with that said, just because pac/arum wanted a fight date about 2 weeks later to build a bigger seating capacity venue...how is it, that trying to maximize $$$ as not wanting to make the fight happen?

and how is that floyd said "yes pacquiao, your next"...then turn around and say "i've never said that" did arum have anything to do with floyd saying he never said pacquao you're next?

it seems more like it wont happen til mayweather, not arum, wants to make the fight happen

Bradley doesn't have the "it" factor to be a superstar. Luckily, he can always change that by changing his personality (at least for the television, etc.) and a win over a guy like Pacquiao or Mayweather. Mosley beat DLH and it didn't make him a superstar.

People continually talk about Mayweather's offer to Pac as the sole reason as to why this fight isn't happening this time. Fact is, the fight wasn't gonna happen anyway because Pac had a cut that wasn't gonna be healed, Arum needed to build a temporary stadium, and May 5 isn't a profitable fight date, according to Pac's people. The fight was off because of excuses on Pac's end. Mayweather's offer just shows ignorance and greed on his end. But to act as if Pac would be in the ring with him Sat if not for the offer is not only wrong, but ****** to try and pass off as fact.

You can say all you want, but it didn't happen at FIRST because some clown said "take the test" since his to-be opponent is too good.

Been saying for years that Bob has an agenda and Floyd has never been on it. When he's ready, the fight will happen aka Pac's last fight...

btw, the hype out here in Vegas for Mayweather Cotto is insane...
