Comments Thread For: Webb vs Hall Early Fight Results From Royal Albert Hall

Royal Albert Hall, Kensington, London - In a battle between two welterweight prospects, Terry Holmes (6-0, 1KO) pulled off a minor upset with an eight round decision over Dean Byrne (15-2, 6KOs). The card had some very weird moments. At one moment Byrne was being battered in the fifth round and his corner threw in the towel and his corner started to enter the ring, but the referee kicked the towel out and allowed the fight to continue. The sole score, by the referee, was 67-65 for Holmes and that doesn't make sense because the fight was eight rounds.

I said yesterday that it was going to rain today & I was right.
Was also very impressed with Saunders. I thought Hill would give him a few decent rounds. But the way he closed the show after stunning Hill was excellent. What's next? Is Saunders ready for McEwan yet?

tough fight but hill was big and strong looking at him physically and billy joe seemed to bully him.hill sparred macklin a few year ago according to paul smith and did himself ok so would like saundrs to be given a harder fight than McEwan,id like to see him fight a barker or hope
