This fight will not do less ppv buys than the Mayweather Ortiz fight.
That fight had the same price tag.
Boxing fans can disregard what Schaefer is going to say when he is promoting his fight to the press. If you take what a promoter says at face value, that is foolish.
Taking 2 out of the 3 top PPV draws in North America, putting them on the same card, this will make the involved party an incredible amount of money, when you add up the ppv money, the theatre money(these are not counted as ppv buys, something, some fans forget) and the gate money.

Just to clear up this misconception, the suggested retail price for the PPV is $59.99. If your cable provider charges for HD, luckily for me Time Warner does not, then it is $69.99.

even if the fight generates only half a million ppv buys, chicken floyd's handlers will pad the result to, say 5 million buys...they will make that an excuse again for a possible pacquiao fight...they will demand all the ppv buys for chicken floyd and left nothing to pac and the fight will fall again...

Why are people so shocked with the price tag? The PPV for SD is 60 dollars. Isn't that the same price they have been charging for both Manny and Floyd PPVs for quite some time(or is it 54.99). I admit that PPV is expensive but I don't see why there is complaints when it has been like this for a while.
