Really fun fight to watch! Abner Mares looked great, quite possibly his best fight up to date.

Damn, leading up to the fight I didn't hear once that they were fighting at a catch weight of 120. I don't think Mares really needed those 2 lbs. in his favor. I'm surprised.

        Good win either way.

solid win by mares. I was impressed by morel as well dont get how people say the guy is shot he was in there to win and landed some great shots but mares just ate em and was to good for morel.

Good win for Mares. Morel deserves another shot @ a title with that kind of honest effort and display of heart---- one more well deserved $$$ making opportunity for his retirement. Good kids both of them.:boxing:

The %'s you cite in the JMM-Pac fight are misleading because most of Pac's punches were probing punches/range finders thrown out of frustration because his power shot(s) weren't landing.

i defnitely saw a good amount of improvemnet in mares's game ..he came from the least accurate fighter to a very effective agression giving , right punch throwing fighter in there vs morel. this kid is a force to be reackoned with whether it vs nonito or moreno...and esp rigo IMO.

Mares-Moreno make it happen. I like both but I got Moreno winning that one.
