What I hear however is that Floyd wants to make a statement,he's not looking for a decision and he will sit on Cotto the moment the fight starts.Gatti-Mayweather II
Well , I don't like saying this at all but I am about to agree with you

      But

The fight changer is this new trainer. He along with two others may have the answers to JRs style but you have to have the dog as well.

You can't train a cur if you expect to win

Can you train someone who has QUIT,,twice, Margo 1 and Pac (in the corner wanting to stop in the round before the fight was stopped) fight, to be GAME????

It won't be a bludgeoning from Jr, I would be extremely supprised if Cotto is marked up badly, it will be from frustration not getting to JR.

I will be extremely supprised if JR KO's Cotto,,unless Cotto looks away, any pro can be KO'd if they look away mang.

YOU can be in the very best of shape but if you are not deep game you will NOT stand the trenches.

Cotto can't take it DEEP in the trenches in my opinion reference Margo 1 and Pac.

JR has never been to the trenches but in the first Castillo fight , the one he lost and even then it was not that deep.

This Cuban trainer just might have the edge going in here, he just might tweak good ol Cotto and get his mind right , his body right to take JR into waters he has never tread.

They are trying to get me to buy this fight.

I have been following Cotto for years and am a huge fan. With that being said, I feel like he has no chance. I like the confidence and the belief however, this is a test way beyond anything he's seen before. He is facing a faster, longer, and slightly bigger fighter who will not stand in front of him. In my opinion, Cotto may be looking to cash out . He's always said he didn't want to fight forever and by the time the PPV cash and his fight purse come in, he may say I'm done which would end what is a hall of fame career.

That's why the victory will be so sweet,Cotto fans think he's all that.No.Floyd's on another level,Cotto will be shown to be a bum (not that he's a bum, just Floyd will make him into one)

Floyd's the most frustrating fighter because he shows you how bad you are. After a few rounds many fighters just give up,we are talking about fighters not Cotto who is known for quitting. Many fighters give up and get into survival mode when they fight Floyd and Cotto will do the same.Difference now is,Floyd will cut that ring, impose himself on Cotto, eventually the new trainer (Cotto's trainer) will have to throw in that towel so Cotto can fight another day.You guys all remember Marquez was a bloody mess,Cotto cuts just as much if not more than Marquez and Cotto's defence is very little.Imagine,Floyd normally turns good fighters into punchbags, how much target practice will he have on Cotto who's always difficult to miss?

What you expect to hear from his camp? A loser mind? He needs to believe in him. And his fans are going to cheer for him. Why is it that Floyd fans cant understand that? What is so bad about it? It is the same thing the other 41 said before. It is up to him to prove you wrong on his most difficult fight. I see Floyd winning, but I will cheer for Cotto every day, every time and every fight.
              Beautifully said.....

                  Yep,

So all that is left is that Cuban trainer must make the difference in this fight. He must get Cotto past the first few rounds when Jr makes his statement I am king of this hill and begins to dismantle his man.

You can dream it all you want but if the heart is not game to go and love the trenches you will QUIT.

Again we don't know how much Jr will like the trenches because really no one has never taken him there.

Two guys might: Pac and Martinez,,,!

What JR will do if ever taken there is left up to speculation until it happens.

What I will submit to is that fighters must get thru those first few rounds and the moment they go into survival due to frustration is the moment the fight is lost.

It will take a fast and furious long winded game fighter to whip JR

Floyd is good a technical boxer but by no means a beast like you guys make him out to be. Cotto is a warrior. He lost to a dude that had cement in his gloves and to a guy who made him fight at 145 lbs which made him very weak with a huge disadvantage. Other than that, he gave us helluva good fights.

Would Cotto beat Hatton? Absolutely!!! would Cotto beat Delahoya at the time that Mayweather beat him? absolutely!!! If I remember correctly, Cotto destroyed Zab Judah and KO'ed him. Did Mayweather KO Judah? NO!!! If I remember correctly, Cotto gave Mosley a boxing lesson. Mayweather also gave Mosely a one sided beat down so I give him that one.

Bottom line is that they both fought worthy opponents but Mayweather always avoided cement fists Margarito and still has not fought catchweight king Pacquiao so it remains to be seen. I think it will be a more competitive fight than people think....
