Pirog a huge step up from Paul Williams. Especially in the power department.

Ishida has been down vs lesser opposition.

To impress Pirog has to get a KO.

Because I expect more from him ,then I do of Paul Williams.

Pirog might put down a couple of times but Ishida still has a good chin and hasn't been stopped previously. I haven't seen much of Ishida but I'm sure he's capable at this level and Pirog might be content just to throw single shots.

I would like to see some urgency in Pirog's work though and try to get Ishida out of there. He hasn't looked great in his past couple of fights.

Ishida's last fight versus Pwill didn't prove anything serious. Ishida has got a good chin, that's for sure. But he didn't throw a lot of punches and instead took a lot of them in his body. He wasn't what he was when he knocked Kirkland down three times in the opening round. After the pathetic performance he showed against Paul, there is no logical reason of him going to Russia for a title shot.

But hey. To think, we haven't seen the best of Pirog since he KOed Daniel Jacobs. He hasn't done anything since then to prove a point that he is the best middleweight around now. He said Ishida was the only guy who responded to their offer, but Pirog calling out Ishida is, in a sense, as pathetic as Ishida's performance against Paul.

Not even close and its Germany. In the US it doesn't matter where you are from but how much money you can bring in. Remember Collazo vs Hatton? We are capitalist here, we will screw over our own to make a buck

ya..just like pac w/ marquez fights, then anotehr even fight khan vs peterson, i mean it took like 10 misn for the judges to man up and rob khan.

or r u talking about valuev vs haye? anotehr even fights that was given to haye.

for example check lebedev/roy scorecard before stoppage.

even worse in Ukraine..u better fight like a batman in order to get a win in hoem country.

I like Ishida, but he doesn't deserve this and he'll most likely lose

Horrible excuse for a title fight. Ishida loses all 12 rounds in his last fight and gets a title shot. Nice. I like Pirog a lot but his promoters need to get him a real fight or he's going to grow old defending against nobodies

Seems the quickest way to a title shot these days is to lose!
