This is something we can all finally agree with.

I'll be looking forward to this.

Yes. It's about time fans get together and stop arguing. Martinez vs Mayweather is approved not just by Floyd fans but by all fans.

Is this supposed to be news? Pacquiao wants 50% of the revenue and Maywether wants 100%.

This is not a "counter offer".

A gurantee comes from the promotional company. Whatever they offer you will get, and if you do good then they may pay you more.

In terms of 50/50 on the PPV, Pac will have a gurantee of say 10 Mil. If it doesn't hit a certain cap then that's all he gets paid. If it hits more then he gets a % of whatever is the extra.

Basically asking for 50/50 on the PPV is a good deal, since Mayweather may negotiate he gets more of a gurantee.

So he may say to Pac, I get 20 mil gurantee, you get 10.
It is the same thing because the guarantee comes from the minimum projection of what the PPV is going to be. The guarantee doesn't come from the promotional pocket it comes from the PPV. Now if the PPV doesn't make the minimum projection then that's when the money would come out of the promotional pocket.

Even if his guarantee it's 1mil, while Floyd could be 30mil. If the the revenue surpasses the minimum projection as long as it's 50/50 split they will make the same amount of money.

The guarantee is just basically a safety net that the money will be worth it...But, the money comes from all the revenue.

So Floyd can lowball him the hell out of the guarantee. As long as 50/50 split revenue that Pac wants is in set. And, the fight surpasses the minimum projection then they will make the same amount.

          Exactly, no news at all.

So in negotiations why did they offer Floyd 0 PPV revenue? No need to lie (again)

You're saying one wants 100 while the other wants fifty, which isn;t true because they counter offered Floyd 0 PPV revenue as well in response.

Pacquiao, however, insisted that the pay- per-view revenues be split equally.
“It’s fine with me if he has a bigger guaranteed purse,” Pacquiao told ANC Headstart in Filipino yesterday. “There’s no problem as long as we have a 50-50 split on the PPV.”

At this point, it doesn't matter anymore. The fight should have happened two years ago when both were closer to their prime. This fight isn't going to happen anyway. Both sides have shown they are all about playing games and making excuses for everything asked of them.

I agree with this! To me, Pac vs Floyd lost its steam. Martinez vs Floyd imo would be a much more entertaining fight anyway.
