For a guy with 24 kos in 28 bouts, he is boring to watch. He's very good, but lacks that "it" factor that makes stars. Waits way to long to really mix it up or take out overmatched fighters. At 126 he's going to have to become more aggressive if he wants to be a star and make real money. Cotto was never boring early in his career. Reminds me more of juan manuel marquez when young--he was a great fighter but a pure counterpuncher. That isn't a recipe for drawing the huge mexican fan base. Marquez never got a bigbfollowing til late in his career. He could never land the big fights with barrera or morales when they were at their peaks and the fans never demanded to see him fight. I hpe he changes his style to be more aggressive. He appears to havebthe goods.

Garcia is methodical and precise. His nickname should be "The Surgeon" he meticulously picks his opponents apart, sort of reminiscent of a Bernard Hopkins (Another one of my all time favs) and I think Mikey beats BOTH Juanma and Salido.

Garcia has all the tools -- tangibles and intangibles -- needs to start fighting top-tier guys now....

Good win for Mikey. He was boxing him well he didn't rush the time was there for the knockout he waited for Bernabe to get tired on his defense. Then landed those big right crosses which ended the fight. I think Mikey needs to go to the body a lot more and has to land that left hook to the jaw or to the body he leads with the left hook to much. That one two punch that he throws was too predictable in his offense. But over all he got the job done he got the W and the knockout.

I agree that Mikey should start fighting tougher guys; he can start that by fighting Lorenzo "thunderbolt" Villanueva (22-0, 21 KO's). This guy's power punch is reminiscent with that of late Edwin Valero, any of the current top featherweights hell.

Really like garcia and would choose him over jhonny gonzalez, billy dib or most other featherweight champs. He's more skilled and tighter than salido, but he might get overwhelmed at this point in his career.
