With Floyd JMM moved up to a heavy weight and was waaaay over his natural weight and never fought there before. Also he needed a pay day. Also Floyd didnt make weight at weigh in and weighed by fight night on unofficial scale nearly 36lbs heavier. So as much weight and size advantage Floyd had on little JMM he couldnt even lay him out.... Manny did and out him on the canvas several times...at his weight. If you think the win over JMM with Floyd was a remarkable win for Floyd you are out your rocker!

It doesnt matter what Kenny did or didn't do, the fact is he has 2 KO losses on his record no matter how YOU try to spin it.
I agree with what you said about Cotto being resilient and all that but who has Cotto fought since Pacquiao that would lead you to believe he won't use his "shut down and quit" mechanism again?
Sure, he has two ko losses (one being legitimate), but he's never been ko'd. The ref/corner has stopped his fight, but he has never been ktfo.
Ultimately, my point is there is a huge difference between the volume punching of marg/pac, and floyds selective punches. Cotto is no stranger to being hit hard with clean punches, he fights back. Its the volume that puts him in trouble, and i dont believe it is in mayweathers best interest to try and do something he doesnt do (volume). Everybodys open and can be hit when they are throwing, including mayweather.

Floyd may see this and know it will be in his best interest to **** it out rather than sit and wait on counters.

Yes I agree Floyd didn't make the agreed weight but JMM had the option to either accept the fight or not and he chose to fight. That fight was NOT a title fight. Also do you truly believe that the 2lb weigh-in difference was the outcome of the fight? Did at any point of that fight did Mayweather utilize his size disparity in the match?
I understand that Manny knocked JMM 4 times @130 lbs, that fight was a draw and he struggled.
Pac fought JMM 2 years after Mayweather and struggled. Can you explain why Pac had major issues with a 38 year old JMM 2 years after Mayweather beat him 12-0?Last edited by Atreyu Khalil; 03-07-2012, 03:19 AM.
