Because its a business. No name not heavily promoted fighters have to fight their way into a title and get cheated out of their chance cause of fights like these.

Because when good/great fighters build up their name and legacy through their prime good enough, they can still live off it after their prime. It's like this for damn near every fighter that was good/great during their prime.

Its definitely because of his name. I was so pissed when this fight was announced. I do not wanna ever see Mosley in a boxing ring again. It will be interesting to see if Canelo can kayo Mosley something that has never been done before, also because Mosley doesn't engage the way he used to so its almost impossible.

A long overdue rematch, first fight was a Draw imo. At this point it would just be two names going at it, the first time was two good top fighters going at it. I'd like to see Mosley vs Chavez Jr at 160. As past it as Shane is, I don't think that's a fight Chavez's handlers would jump at. At least not now, maybe after Shane has a few more losses.

If Mosley just sticks to fighting B and C class fighters, he's good. He's not the top fighter he once was. Canelo is a B+ fighter at this point of his career, so that's a good match up.

it has to be a combination of willingness and exposure

Mosley has had tons of exposure and a willingness to fight in fights like these so he gets the call a lot

What's worst is that he's basically getting paid to lose.

To much emphasis is put on loses in boxing Shane is still dangerous and it wouldn't surprise me to see him beat the ginger kid.

Ever hear about great fights not being made because of high risk - low reward? Well this is the exact opposite.

Add Rocky Juarez to that list, it seems almost every other GBP PPV he gets billed on the undercard with a title shot....
