Well, if he's going to retire, that should be a reason for the Mayweather fight to happen. Not a reason for it not to happen. Bob Arum cashes out, Pacquiao is set free, Mayweather wins the fight, and most importantly, the fans get what they want. Everybody wins.

MANILA, Philippines -- Boxing superstar and Sarangi Rep. Manny Pacquiao is considering retiring from boxing next year.

Pacquiao said his upcoming bout with undefeated American boxer Timothy Bradley Jr. on June 9 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas may be his last fight.

This also means that his much-awaited dream fight with American Floyd Mayweather Jr. may never happen.

Pacquiao explained it may not look good to be seen fighting in the boxing ring now that he has accepted the Church's offer to become a Bible ambassador.

He said he may just focus on his political plans and reading the Bible.

Last month, Pacquiao disclosed during a one-on-one interview with Dyan Castillejo that he has renewed his faith and has turned his back on vices, including womanizing, ******** and drinking.
Of course Pacquiao is going to say this.

I predicted this years ago. Manny is running out of viable options because he's already shown us that he isn't going to fight any top WWs.

So, in an effort to go out on top without ever having faced a #1 aside from JMM and now Bradley in his upcoming next fight.

      Morales had lost to Barrera.

Barrera had lost to Morales but was "awarded" The WBO belt that put him in position to face the Prince, rematch Morales and then Pacquiao.

      DLH was beaten by Floyd.

      Hatton was beaten by Floyd.

      Cotto was destroyed by Margarito.

Clottey was beaten by Cotto albeit a gift.

Margarito had been KTFO by Mosley.

Mosley had been thoroughly embarrassed by Mayweather.

Now, there are some that are mentioning "tune ups" as if that has any bearing on these fighter's status or rank. It didn't.

The man's legacy is smoke and mirrors. Its made to seem like something that, when examined closely, is easily detected as house of cards.

Manny can ****. Anyone who says differently is not honest with himself. He's exciting, he's explosive, but he has seldom ever stepped up to a challenge where his promoter or trainer hadn't already loaded the deck by way of seeking recently defeated men or weight stipulation.

He most certainly has not ever stepped up to fight a legitimate champion at WW. Yet pundits and boxing writers somehow rank him high at WW ... which is ridiculous.

Pacquiao has done NOTHING at WW against a legitimate champion.

Pacquiao has done NOTHING at jrMW against a legitimate champion.

I don't care how tall that dude is ... if you're going to claim that you're a champion, you better beat a champion. If you're seeking a championship, you shouldn't be asking for catchweights, and that's exactly what Pacquiao did for his WW belt against Cotto.

So in the end, where else does Pacquiao have to go? He has always waited for the guys at the top to face them.

Why has Pacquiao changed his tune now? I suspect that Manny Pacquiao does not want to face Ortiz because if he stipulates weight again, his legacy will definitely take another hit.

I'll tell you what: If Manny Pacquiao were willing to fight Victor Ortiz at the SAME EXACT WEIGHT that Floyd Mayweather fought him, boxing fans everywhere would have to give all credit where it is due if he won.

Of course Pacquiao won't. He doesn't have the ability or skills to win against such a real challenge. *******s know it, but they pretend not to for the sake of Manny staying relevant in talks about top boxers.

That is exactly what *******s, both fans and professionals, did when Pacquiao fought Oscar DelaHoya at 145lbs ... a weight DLH hadn't competed at in 7 years.

Floyd fought DLH when DLH weighed about 170lbs+, but somehow that detail became too insignificant to mention.

So there it is. Manny Pacquiao has avoided real challenges if they were tailor made to his advantage with star names attached to it.

Will he fight Victor Ortiz at the weight Mayweather allowed him to come in at? Or will he continue to look for competition at 140lbs where it seems safe for him?

The world has opened their eyes. And they have been watching Manny's every decision and his every performance.

      The jig is up.

Arum's strategy is to have Bradley replace Pac as his star. Pac tells Arum that he really wants to retire and Arum says well let me make you rich first.

He picks up Bradley, tells Pac that Bradley is good and if Pac loses to Bradley, he'll give him an extra 15 million on the side that the public doesn't have to know about on top of the 25 million guaranteed plus the PPV split money.

Pac accepts, loses to Bradley, retires without fighting Mayweather and goes into politics full-time. Bradley takes over as the top dog at Top Rank and Mayweather retires within the next year so that leaves Bradley, Martinez, Donaire, and 2 spaces left or my boys Guerrero and Gamboa to fill the top 5 p4p...........like I called it last year.

So by your ******ed logic, unless you are undefeated, you are not good enough to face the pacman

get the **** out of here you ***** joke

Lets see you ignore the fact oscar had a huge lay off, as did mosley while ageing vs floyd...oh and the fact he forced hatton up to 147

its people like you who ruin the sport

Cotto, hatton at his best weight, giving away near 20 pounds to margarito, morales, barrera and so on were legit wins

the one which was a joke was mosley which everyone can see

You can keep hating but who is floyd fighting now? mannys left overs who he abused, before he fought a guy who got his ass whooped by peterson and maidana

I posted this on a diff thread I really think Manny is done after this year. Something happened during the Margo win. He lost his passion he got hurt seriously hurt. He does not want to fight anymore you can tell when a fighter is out of it. He might train come in to the ring but his heart is not there anymore.

Well, he did fight Hatton at 140. But that fight was a mirage. I guess him fighting Bradley kind of makes up for that up to an extent because Bradley is leaps and bounds better than Hatton.
