Well remember Pavlik vs Hopkins ... After he lost then it turned out that Pavlik was "very ill" and was using antibiotics and that's one of the main reasons he lost the fight. I think his team wasn't taking into consideration the fact that he was completely dominated by Hopkins.

He is and always will be a two-bit chump~
      Amen to most of it.

it's pretty easy to lose 15 lbs in 12 days. When i wrestled in highschool i walked around at 165 and i wrestled at 152. I would practice on friday and after practice i would be 160. then i'd go home and run some more with a sweat suit and by saturday morning i'd weigh in 152 no problem. right after weigh in i'd rehydrate to 160 and i'd be wrestling in less than an hour later. it really didn't affect my performance.

so 15 lbs in 12 days isn't far-fetched considering a high schooler was losing 13 lbs in a night.

It is easy if you are disciplined and a hard worker who is right where they want to be in very good shape just cutting water weight.

A dude who has had consistent weight issues and who lacks a quality work ethic that is hell and it will lead them to be weaker.

I agree, and it also depends on the grade of dehydration. Once I was playing softball at 4:00 PM at around 110 Fahrenheit (yeah, that's crazy but where I live the average temperature in summer is around 95 Fahrenheit) and went home completely dehydrated. I drank Gatorade and water and everything until I was feeling "fine", but then I went to do the p90x and got tired in about half the time I use to get tired. I was just feeling like crap and it had an terrible effect in my performance of course.

i did that shlt every week and it didn't affect me and they were same day weigh ins. if i had the opportunity to weigh in the night before it would be even easier.
