I like Mosley too much to root against him if he fights Canelo. Hey, Shane might be old but he traditionally did well against aggressive slow fighters...Canelo fits that bill (although he has SOME speed...it's slower than Shane imo). Let's not forget what happened to Shane when he went to 154 in the past though...... Bad things.

Canelo isn't ready for Kirkland. imo Canelo is entitled to one more gimme on May 5, then he needs to fight someone big name low risk such as Williams, Mosley, Margarito or Mayorga, someone who can introduce Alvarez to the casual fans.

Winning these two fights he's ready for a step up in competition against ranked contenders and other big names, but I'd hold off having Alvarez take on the likes of Molina, Kirkland and Lara for another year or two. Remember that Alvarez is only 21 years old, give him at least develop until he's 23 before he starts taking on the best of the best (and 23 is still extremely young).

Another trick to boost Floyd's PPV Numbers, Put Mexico's #1 fighter on the undercard on Cinco de Mayo weekend and say they all tuned in for Floyd and not Saul Alvarez the Mexican Sensation on Cinco de Mayo who would be responsible for at least 25% to 30% of those numbers.... LOL.... But, you can't hate it's great marketing but it would be a lie when Golden Boy says that all those numbers will be Floyd's....

[QUOTE=cottofan2;11733606]I like Canelo-Kirkland. But if they think he's not ready for that yet, I'll take Canelo-Mayorga at 154. Talk about a good promotion leading up to the fight.[/

That would be EPIC imagine Mayorga talking smack to Ginger Kid wow!

Canelo has had enough cookies fed to him. I'm sick and tired of these so-called "champions" that are still being "developed". If you have a belt, fight the best in your division.

No split sites either! That is annoying!

Introduce Alvarez to the casual fans?? Besides Mexico, people know him in the US more than Willliams or Mayorga. Canelo beats Kirkland.
