By far, boxing is my favorite sport and I hate when people talk badly about it; especially when they don't know ****.
But goddamn, things have just been getting progressively worse since last summer.
For the fans, the way the Ortiz-Mayweather fight ended was as bad as it gets. We were denied any closure in that fight, then Hopkins-Dawson and the Marquez-Pac fight didn't answer any questions regarding who was currently better.
My brother and I are DIE-HARD fans and he recently said he was going to start paying a lot more attention to MMA because boxing was dropping the ball.
The promoters are abusing our loyalty to the sport and I see a lot of people getting fed up soon.
It feels like we're stuck watching preseason NFL and we never get to see who's really the best in their division.
I know it's nothing new, but I feel like more and more people are being turned off by the sport when I used to have an easy time getting friends interested in the matchups. It's just so damn hard to sell a ****ty product.
What I'm getting at -- I guess -- is what does everyone else feel? Is this as bad as it's ever been? I've been following the sport religiously for about a decade and can't remember it being this ****ty.
