It has to be. Floyd in the last 2 fights is taken all the risks. Golden isn't taken any...Floyd even pays the fighters on the under card. He is the promoter of the whole event. GBP doesn't take any risk. Yet Floyd gives them a % or a flat fee for what exactly? And, Floyd don't need GBP for sponsors. You're trying to tell me Floyd is not capable of getting any sponsors? Haymon or the C.E.O of Maywather promotions are not capable of getting sponsors? I don't believe that.

I get the need to have GBP if a GBP fighter is involved. But, when there isn't a GBP fighter involved like it would be for Floyd-Cotto or even Floyd-Pac. Not sure how GBP is needed.

Cotto would have to not be with Top Rank or any other promotional company.

Sorry Im still waiting for you to refute my overall point.....Im sure you'll try at some stage. I believe in you.

I think it's as clear as day. And I don't think he's the only fighter who had to do something like that in order to get a fight with Oscar.

No one was arguing your overall point (that doesn't exist). You stated that Cotto would have to sign with GBP in order to make the fight and I asked you what shows that? I'm still waiting for a clear answer to that. No opponent has had to do that, and Floyd fought a fighter not under GBP just two fights ago. Thanks for sharing your beliefs (again).

This was your first post in this thread. You then proceeded to say that Cotto would have to sign with GBP in order to get a fight with Floyd. You're right...I can't argue with bull**** you made up.

No I didnt say he would have to, I said he will sign with GBP. I maybe wrong (then again, you told me I was wrong last week and look how that turned out lol).

Whether he does or not doesn't change the fact that Mayweather, like Pacquaio, only does business with one company. Can you focus on that for a change?

                Or keep ducking....whatever.

Funny cos Pacquaio fought a GBP fighter in 2009 (Hatton). 3 years after Mayweather fought Baldomir....
You're cracking me up with this "straight answer" and "focusing on the point" business. The whole point of my original post was to say that outside of Golden Boy fighters, there aren't many, if any, options at WW for Floyd Mayweather. If there are, then name them for me.

I asked you who would be a legit fighter for Mayweather to go against outside of GB and TR and you named a ****ing Middleweight. Jesus. At least you could have named Berto, who he coincidentally was scouting in the fight he lost to Ortiz.

Also, I have to come to both Top Ranks and Mayweathers defense here - especially Pacquiao's. There's absolutely nothing wrong with not showing any interest in Sergio Martinez. I can think of a couple of reasons of why neither one of them would take a fight with him that have nothing to do with who the promoter is.

Why would I focus on something completely irrelevant to YOUR point? Who he does business with doesn't affect his opponent's choice of promoter. If it does, PROVE IT.

That's because Top Rank and Golden Boy monopolise the whole game. My point was to argue against this notion that it's only Pacquaio who fights for one company, when Mayweather does almost exactly the same.

The way the respective fantards of each fighter try to spin this ***** to make it seem like their guy is "the good guy" in all of this is ***in hilarious to me.
