Did you just describe fighting Tyson Fury as "career defining"?

Sorry Brits but this is going to be more of the same. Chisora won't win a single round and his style is tailor made for big K. Styles make fights and this fight will make Vitali look great. A come straight forward fighter is as easy as it gets for Vitali. Chisora couldn't knock Helen off his feet or even hurt him so he isn't ko'ing Vitali, so how is he going to win? Vitali will never lose a decision so what chance does Del Boy have? I agree that it is nice to see someone with a come forward style but Chisora lacks the explosive power and hand speed that is required to do anything to Vitali. It would take Lennox Lewis/ Corey Sanders type power to even stun him and Del Boy hasn't shown that yet.

I think thats a bit unfair. The guy only has 16 fights and lost to another prospect, big deal. Isn't it just as defining, him being robbed against Helenius? Anyway, if Chisora can be competitive it will lead to other paydays and opportunities down the road. If he isn't at least he is looking to give his best effort. Thats something not every other fighter has done given the same chance Chisora has.

That said, I've changed my rooting interest in this fight. I was rooting for Chisora just to shut some of the Klit nuthuggers up. But he is annoying the hell out of me with his constant babbling so now Im rooting for Vitaly to break his jaw.

I like Del Boy. As opposed to Haye's meanspirited and unfunny trash talk, Del Boy says things with a twinkle in his eye. His nickname is even taken from a character on a popular Britcom.

Chisora's future after the Fury fight would've changed completely had he won. I doubt he'd have been put in with Helenius at all and would be getting groomed now against decent, durable opposition that would help him learn his trade.

I applaud Chisora for doing what he is doing and taking on all these big fights. But how will it effect him mentally? My only wish is that he continues and has a good career in this sport but I worry he'll retire soon.

At least Del Boy isn't fighting just for money. He's doing it out of love, as he comes from a posh family.

I got a normal feeling that Vitali will destroy Chisora.

I think it might be a bit of both -- he'll give Vitali a spot of bother until he gets destroyed.

I suppose your right, I just happen to prefer guys who are more humble, especially when they're handed this kind of opportunity.

Im not sold on him completely as a fighter yet, but he seems to be mentally strong. Most guys would take baby steps after embarrassing themselves as Chisora did against Fury. Instead he dove back in head first and took on the most dangerous heavyweight prospect and got robbed. Now he's going after Vitaly. Maybe Im wrong, but that suggests mental toughness to me.
