But Arum is telling the truth on one thing, and one thing only, Floyd's having problems finding a guarantor on his end of the deal.

and it will remain a problem, because guarantors want to control as much income as they can, and have as much influence as they can. arum is already preparing a framework to control everything he possibly can for himself, leaving the breadcrumbs to floyd's investors.

FACT: Immediately after Pac/JMM III, Floyd Mayweather asked Richard Schaefer to initiate negotiations with Top Rank on his behalf.

And, they went through the appropriate channels.

Schaefer contacted retired judge Daniel Weinstein, the agent who acted as intermediary during the official negotiation back in 2009.

Arum replied, via Weinstein, and stated that Top Rank had no interest in discussing a fight with Mayweather as they were whole-heartedly pursuing a fourth match with Marquez.
