Middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (48-2-2, 27KOs) is not surprised with the news of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. possibly facing Miguel Cotto in July. The WBC issued a recent order, which directs Chavez Jr., should he beat Marco Antonio Rubio on February 4th in Texas, to make an immediate defense against Martinez, should he beat Matthew Macklin on March 17th. If Chavez wins in February, Top Rank is interested in matching him against Cotto in July.

Cotto, he will destroy Chavez... the level of competition Cotto has fought Jr hasnt even scratched the surface... Such a joke.. If anyone deserves to fight Cotto is Maravilla.. Great fight... I still have Martinez beating Cotto but in UD...not a KO.. Cotto is a warrior...A true champion.. Martinez loses only to Money May.. But than again, so does everyone else...
