" higher priority " sounds a little half-arsed to me.

Pac, you are well-aware that Arum has been blocking that fight.

Demand it, and tell him that you will not fight anyone else.

Not convinced at all that Manny really wants to fight Mayweather.

Believe it when I see it.

He can say it in his normal routine, uhhhhhhhh, I want to fight Mayweather uhhhhhhhhhh on the uhhhhhhh the May 5th.

            Exactly, this changes nothing.

            " higher priority "

Screw his list up Manny, and demand Mayweather, you know whats up.

            Heard all this before.

Arum works for Manny, not the other way around. Funny how in the same article he says he wants to do what the fans want for them to be happy...what a load of crap.
Yeah he always has the final say. Arum is probably offering a LOT of money to fight these in-house opponents.

Manny delivered this information in Tagalog which is a language spoken by about 4 out of every 10 Pinoys/Pinays. Whenever Manny is speaking in Tagalog, he is pretty damn precise and is void of the "uhs, ums, you knows" etc. Does that answer your question???
No whenever you translate any language to any other language there is a bit of lost dialogue. Things you say in Tagalog don't make sense in english and vice versa and that applies to probably every languagem. It's just hard to imagine pacquiao saying those words.

Have they both signed a contract to fight each other yet? No? Then this means nothing, just all talk. Let me know when they step in the ring. All this back and forth crap is lame.

The reason he speaks English on ESPN is for crossover appeal. Most great fighters experiencing World and meteoric status will learn at least some English when their major fights happen on US soil. Only fighter that comes to mind that was on the cusp of US breakout stardom (nipping at De la Hoya's heels especially after beating him) that never bothered learning at least some English was Tito Trinidad. All the others like Manny, Cotto etc. try to strengthen their respective "brand" by speaking in English. Of course sometimes they need a translator by their side if the back-n-forth dialogue becomes too complex (like Merchant can get off topic with). I salute these guys like Cotto & Manny for giving respect to the location & venues they make 10's of millions of dollars in and try to converse in that language.

I hope this topic is now dead as I feel embarrassed for having to defend Manny's "uhms, uhs" etc when this guy is a distinguished Congressman and can speak Tagalog as well as any Senator/Rep of the US can speak English.
