As for the article, im not surprised one bit...Manny is a fighter and I have no doubt that he wants to fight floyd but arum doesnt see this as a fight as a fan. He sees it as a the biggest money making fight in the history of the sport, and although we would all love for Arum to meet with Manny and say they have agreed to fight floyd, it is not going to happen. I do feel they will fight eventually but it will not happen on May 5th. (i hope im wrong) There is too much to do in so little time. Fighting in Vegas is a must and the venue is just not there right now. If the fight happens at the MGM they will leave millions of dollars on the table. All im saying is having Manny say "i want mayweather" gets everyone excited but in reality changes nothing (no fight in may have to wait for Nov or Dec)

You're absolutely right. You also have to consider the fact that Arum is the most powerful Promoter in boxign right now and a spin master. I'm sure he'll feed Pacquiao some BS, just like he's doing to the media right now. Hopefully Pacquiao can be forceful enough that it won't matter what Arum says.

Arum will tell Manny that Floyd has already chosen somebody else. If not that he'll convince Manny that it's not in his best interest because MGM doesn't hold enough people. He'll come up with something IF Manny actually insists that he wants Floyd next.

It's amazingly entertaining reading posts by people that think Manny actually thinks for himself or would have the wherewithal to direct Bob Arum to do anything. That doesn't fit with the man that to date, has sat passively back while his promoter called all the shots.
It'll be one of those four names and Floyd will continue to be the elusive dream fight that never happens.

What's going to be Arums excuse now? He's full of it. You can easily read between the lines of Pacquiaos statements. He, in oh so many words, sad "Yes, I've heard the rumors around the world that my promoter is making me look like a scared little girl, so let me make it clear to the world that I am not a scared little girl, who is ready to fight Mayweather now"
Bravo Manny! I applaud you grabbing the quintessential bull by the horns and making this right! Bravo! Arum was prepared to do the hussle, shuffle, and moonwalk to avoid saying these simple words "Yes, Manny will be ready for Floyd on May 5th"
We should hear the announcement of this fight in a few days and its about dam time!
